Mr. /co/lympus 2018

Mr. /co/lympus 2018 was the very first installment of Mr. /co/lympus, an annual online character popularity contest held in 4chan's /co/ board to determine its best male character from Western animation and comics. It ran from October 4 to October 15, and featured a total of 185 nominees, which will be whittled down to 128 guys for the single-elimination bracket stage. The competition was hosted by a different user calling himself the Mr. /co/ tourney guy !XDVJ7s7KPM.

The championship was won by Cartoon Network's Johnny Bravo after defeating Marvel's Captain America, 234-106, in the final match. However, Johnny's victory celebration was spoiled by the shenanigans happening in the final round. After much anticipation and set-up, the host deliberately swapped the vote percentages of the 3rd place and final match, and revealed Captain America as the winner. He then claimed that his switcheroo fake-out was done "as a joke". Naturally, this didn't sit well with the users, with some even accusing the host of rigging the contest in favor of Cap because of several reasons such as:

• Tourney guy nominating Cap in the first place
• During the finals, the images of Johnny and Cap in the poll were swapped, with Cap's entry bearing an image of Bravo and vice versa.

Johnny's title-winning run is considered the most dominant in Mr. /co/lympus history, as his vote shares never went below 60% throughout the entire event. He will permanently retire from the tournament as a result. Johnny will also be immortalized as Mr. /co/lympus' Mascot in subsequent editions -- just like Ms. /co/ 2018 winner Jenny Wakeman -- with the competition's trophy bearing his likeness and namesake.

Rules

How to nominate?

• To nominate a character, a user must include their name, picture, and series in their post.
• All characters must appear in /co/ media: Western animation and comics
• Each valid nomination must garner at least five (5) replies in order to qualify for the contest. These replies are only counted if they are all within a single thread, and do NOT carry over to other threads.

Eligible Nominees

• All male /co/ characters
• Characters can be any age
• Puppets are allowed (e.g. Muppets, Sesame Street)

Restrictions

• Any character that is clearly not /co/ is not allowed (e.g. /a/nime and live action shows)
• No /mlp/ characters
• No Board-tans
• No "OC donut steels"
