Gaston

Gaston is a character from Disney's Beauty and the Beast (the original not the live action slop). A hero who tries to protect his chosen bride Belle from the dangers of reading and furries, he sets out to win her back after she is tragically led astray by the villainous Beast. Gaston is also known for his CHADly physique, love for eggs and fine ale, and charming personality that makes him the most popular guy wherever he goes.

Tournament History

Gaston has appeared in every edition of Mr. /co/lympus so far. Due to his nature as a CHAD, Gaston is one of the more popular Disney characters among anons and tends to be well supported.

He would receive his highest seed in 2018, making it to Round 3 before losing a close match to Popeye.

2019 would see his posters asserting Gaston's dominance over each of his opponents, especially Mung Daal who he would engage in a fierce banter battle with, with Gaston's bants coming out on top. He would then fall just 9 votes short of defeating Batman in round 4, the closest he's come to cracking into the Elite Eight.

Gaston would fall in Round 2 in 2020 to future Elite Eight member Shaggy, and in 2021 would get added to Shrek's cringe compilation. In 2022 he lost Round 1 to the eventual champion Zorak, who he very nearly defeated.

Mr. /co/lympus 2023 proved to be eventful for Gaston as early on Gaston would get insulted by Suiseiseki posts, to which he would have to respond by putting the doll in her place, resulting in a reoccurring rivalry between the two in a nod to an oldfag meme on /b/ where Gaston would be spammed in counter to desuposting spam. Despite her rivalry with him, it soon became evident that Suiseiseki was tsundere towards Gaston, resulting in the two eventually being paired together as a couple by anons in one of several crackships of the year. Though he would lose Round 3 to Kermit the Frog, Gaston would live on in the hearts of anons as well as in the heart of his new doll waifu.

Mr. /co/lympus 2024 would see Gaston challenge Kermit to a rematch of epic proportions, coincidentally also in Round 3. Gaston would end up losing once again, but by a far narrower margin. Kermit would go on to become that year's runner-up. 2025 would end up with Gaston losing the second round against J. Jonah Jameson despite far better seeding than last few outings.
