Hank Hill
Hank Hill is the protagonist of the 1997 Fox series King of the Hill. He is a hard-working resident of Arlen, Texas who prides himself in selling propane and propane accessories. Outside of his profession, he spends his downtime with his family and is often seen drinking Alamo beer with his friends by the alley behind his house. Despite being regarded as the most level-headed of his friends and family, he has a habit of threatening those who provoke him by proclaiming "I'm gonna kick your ass!", although he rarely follows through with it.
Tournament History[edit]
Mr. /co/lympus[edit]
Hank has competed in the 2018 and 2019 Mr. /co/lympus. His loss in round 4 of 2018 came from Superman, the tournament's #1 seed. He had an impressive showing in 2019, making 4th place, and being the closest one to beating that year's winner Kronk. As a result of his showings, he was considered a strong contender.
Hank returned in 2021 as the 6th seed, his highest yet. Living up to his reputation Hank made a path all the way to the finals, beating the hyped classic Popeye in a close match, and out-grilling the fire nation in a one-two punch against Zuko and Iroh. After pulling a solid win against Aku in semi's Hank met Grievous in the finals. Hank made a decent stand but Grievous' traction proved too much, finally causing his defeat. But as a result of his 2nd place performance, Hank became the first Mr. /co/ contestant to make semi-finals twice, and the first Elite 8 to place higher than his previous best.
Hank had his fourth tournament appearance in Mr. /co/lympus 2023, nearly getting as high a seed as 2021. His run was pretty typical for the first three rounds, easily winning in every case presented. His contest against campaign favorite Dr. Livesey, however, ended up being a shockingly close match compared to the other Round 4 matches. In the end, Hank won by a mere 11 votes, one of his closest matches in the entire history of the tournament. Hank would end up falling to fellow returning face Samurai Jack after the latter came through with a surprisingly strong returning run, although quite a few anons were surprised he had actually lost by a decent margin. All in all, this ended up being Hank's second-worst run to date, which by his standards meant he had to settle for merely 5th place this year.
Hank will return in 2025 after his third year-long Elite Eight ban.
Heroes of /co/[edit]
Outside of Mr. /co/lympus, Hank is notable for his victory in the Heroes of /co/ side tournament where he qualified as the 3rd seed. Despite having a relatively hardcore bracket and a close call against Batman in Round 3, Hank managed to breeze through his competition with good margins leading up to the final round against Mao Mao. Highlights of his run include countering Wallace's inventions with a full-sized mecha powered by propane and winning rematches against Superman (who defeated Hank in 2018) and Courage (whom Hank lost 3rd place to in 2019).
