Xavier
Xavier is a character from the Adult Swim series Xavier: Renegade Angel. A self-proclaimed shaman on a journey for spiritual enlightment, both the series and its protagonist are characterized by their hyper-surrealist nature and sense of unpredictability. Despite Xavier's general desire to do good, he often inadvertently causes more harm or chaos to those around him. The series is mostly nonlinear, but does have an overarching story that slowly reveals parts of Xavier's past. Xavier has been a frequent competitor for Mr. /co/lympus since the second tournament in 2019, but it wasn't until 2022 when he got his big break and became one of the lucky characters to qualify for the Elite Eight.
Tournament History[edit]
Mr. /co/lympus[edit]
Xavier first qualified for Mr. /co/lympus 2019 at seed #85. He was unfortunately matched up against Eddy from the far more well-known Ed, Edd, n Eddy and thus suffered a swift defeat. He returned in the 2020 tournament, with a much higher seed of #57, but once again failed to advance past the first round against Wander from Wander Over Yonder.
Xavier would perform marginally better in Mr. /co/lympus 2021, where he ended up taking a massive victory over the Sickos guy from Stan Kelly's comics for The Onion. Unfortunately, his momentum was cut short when he ended up face-to-face with that year's top seed Carl Brutananadilewski, who made short work of him in his biggest defeat to date. Carl himself would advance to the Sweet 16 before falling to eventual champion General Grievous.
Xavier had a huge spike in performance during Mr. /co/lympus 2022, thanks in large part to a very dedicated campaign from his supporters. Humorously, this included several pieces of porn with his eyeball genitalia. This managed to secure him his first Elite Eight spot before being defeated in the quarter-finals by fellow Adult Swim icon Zorak. Due to both placing in the Elite Eight of their respective tournaments, several anons began shipping him with ENA and even drawing art of the duo together. This relationship was further enforced after both ended up 8th, although this was likely due to their relatively niche natures more than anything else. Xavier also formed a new friendship with King of the Hill's Dale Gribble during their Round 4 match.
Mr. /co/lympus 2024 would mark the return of Xavier once again after his year-long Elite Eight ban wore off. He ended up with a far lower seed of #107, but nonetheless did manage to qualify for the main bracket once again. Despite a small amount of supporting posts, his run was cut very short by Plankton in Round 1 by a very close margin of only 13 votes. This outcome would lead to at least some questioning on Xavier's future prospects in Mr. /co/ after his huge run in 2022, though nonetheless he will be able to get another shot at redemption during Mr. /co/lympus 2025.
