Alice (Disney)
Alice is the titular protagonist of the 1951 Disney animated film Alice in Wonderland, which is an adaptation of Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. A well-mannered and polite young girl from the Victorian era, Alice possesses an intense curiosity and is shown to daydream into her own world rather than listen to others. She notices a White Rabbit and follows it, which leads her down a rabbit hole that serves as a portal to Wonderland, a magical realm where real-world logic does not apply. Through her experiences in the wacky and nonsensical Wonderland, Alice eventually comes to appreciate the mundaneness of the real world. She is voiced in the film by Kathryn Beaumont, who also serves as her real-life model.
Although Alice is not an official Disney Princess, many fans consider her as one because of the film's massive success. Likewise, some /co/ anons have called her one of the most famous lolis in Western animation.
Incidentally, Alice is often associated with The Iron Giant antagonist Kent Mansley as a result of the discovery of a series of obscure video edits which featured crossover "shipping" between different animated characters: much to the anons' disgust and confussion, one that particularly stuck out starred the two characters with some very questionable implications. In the Ms. /co/ tournaments, Alice supporters have resorted to "Mansley-posting" as a form of campaign, which in turn has obtained enough support to spread out into /v/'s own female tournament but applied to other contestants also based on Lewis Carroll's character.
Tournament History
Alice had a relatively low presence in the Ms. /co/ 2020 and 2021 tournaments, but her status as a classic kept her relevant enough to just barely qualify for the main bracket. Alice gained some notice on her first appearance in Ms. /co/ 2020 when she defeated the recency-boosted Sasha Waybright in round 1 by six votes. In 2021 in particular she became known for strange upsets over more typically popular characters potentially owing to her status as a more "safe" pick for voters, emblematic of that year's bizarre and strategic voting patterns. In an apparent defiance of logic, Alice managed to reach the sweet 16 round of that year as a #111 seed, taking down the overseeded Maria Rivera, fellow /co/ loli Gwen 10, and 2019 runner-up Raven. Her wondrous run came to an end just as she started to garner support and momentum when she lost by 8 votes against the faceless Miss Bellum.
Subsequent years would see a reversal in Alice's presence in the tournament from that of 2021's; though she now tends to enter with hype and support from fans, she has had mixed success in her performance. In Ms. /co/ 2022 Alice entered with by far her highest seed yet, at 24. Despite this she lost narrowly to the well-campaigned Mrs. Brisby in Round 1. Alice's short-lived Ms. /co/ 2023 run saw a similar fate of losing round 1 to a campaign backed character, this time to Queen Vexus.
A more successful run came in Ms. /co/ 2024; owing to efforts from fans and persistent thread support, as well as anticipation of her run this year among some coming off of Kent Mansley's victory in Tag-Team Tournament 2023, she was just barely able to scrape by the first round, defeating Total Drama's Gwen by a mere four votes. She would next be matched against the formidable presence of the The Amazing Digital Circus fanbase in the tournament against Gangle; both prominently posted characters in the threads, Alice would ultimately take the win. In the end she was eliminated by the strongly backed powerhouse and eventual tournament champion Frankie Foster in the third round.
In 2025 she only reached the second round and was eliminated by Lola Bunny. In the following year she successfully defeated Bubbles from the Powerpuff girls, but was once again eliminated at the second round, this time by Ruby Rose.
