Eris (Grim Adventures)
Eris is a supporting antagonist featured in Cartoon Network's TV series The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. Like her namesake, Eris is the goddess of discord and chaos. She appears as a blonde, tiara-wearing, curvy woman who wears a revealing white dress, and is also notable for her front tooth gap.
Tournament History Edit
Although she is a minor recurring character in the series, Eris' sexually appealing design has inspired many fan arts posted online. She plays a major role in the Ms. /co/ tournaments where she consistently secures high seeds enough to rival Mandy's. After early exits in 2019 and 2020, Eris finally made a breakthrough in the 2021 edition, emerging as the winner of her bracket after defeating #4 seed Shego in the sweet 16 round, outlasting Mandy in the process. In the Elite Eight round, she was labeled the "most thematically appropriate winner" by several users because of the year's general theme of spite-voting powerhouses out, thus creating unexpected or "chaotic" results. Unfortunately, she lost to loli character Hilda by 12 votes. Eris finished 6th overall after having more 6th place votes than her closest competitor Lord Dominator.
CHAOS posting followed every /co/ tournament after she became an Elite Eight member. She has become the symbol of chaos within the tournaments, and is often posted whenever things go awry. Some anons speculate she was the cause of killing a host, messing up polls, or delays in results (among other things).
Eris returned in Ms. /co/ 2023 with strong momentum. Her campaign potential had only grown in her absence and she ended up as one of the biggest contributors of OC that year along with the surprise additions of Uzi and Cyn from Murder Drones. This all made her one of the thread favorites to win, with the results to back it up. She had a closer call against Fionna coming off her new spin-off show's release, but dominated both Gaz and Leela. Her fourth round appeared to be a decent challenge in Tinker Bell after she had proven to be surprisingly formidable in terms of campaign and especially win margins, but the fairy got clapped by the Greek goddess with surprising ease. Notably, she was the only Elite Eight member from 2021 to immediately return following her gap year. After a quicker loss in 2021, she came back with a chaotic vengeance. Her quarter-finals match against Alex from Totally Spies! was a sweep, and she proceeded to knock out tournament favorite Raven afterwards. The final match between Eris and Wuya from Xiaolin Showdown was highly anticipated, as both had massive campaigns and hype. While some saw Eris as favorable to win, Wuya would end up narrowly taking the crown.
While Eris will surely continue to spread chaos from the background, her next official tournament bout won't be possible until the 2025 tournament.
