The Monarch
The Monarch is one of the main antagonists of the Adult Swim animated series The Venture Bros. As his name suggests, he is a supervillain themed around the monarch butterfly. He possesses an intense hatred for Rusty Venture. In later seasons, he marries fellow supervillain Dr. Girlfriend, who then changes her name to Dr. Mrs. The Monarch.
Tournament History Edit
One of the original Mr. /co/lympus candidates, the Monarch is a popular character for "role-playing" posts and fan-arts due to his flamboyant design and personality. However, he is also labeled a "jobber" in the tournaments for his early exits, which fits in with his general incompetence as a villain in the show. His best finish so far happened in 2021, where he notably defeated the high-seeded Spear before being cucked out of the tournament (literally and figuratively) by the much stronger Skeletor in round 3.
Outside of Mr. /co/, Monarch notably produced a fairly successful result in Tag-Team Tournament 2020 when he paired with Master Shake to become the Assholish Adult Swim Duo, which was seeded 3rd and reached the quarter-finals, but lost to eventual winners Skellington and Grinch (Fake Santas).
