Double D
Edd, most commonly referred to as Double D both in the show and in Mr. /co/, is one of the three titular main characters of the Cartoon Network series Ed, Edd n Eddy. Contrasted with Ed's dim wit and Eddy's selfishness and scam-fueled greed, Double D is the brains and "goody-two-shoes" of the group, albeit the weakest physically. He is timid, polite, and often advises the most reasonable/morally just solution, yet Double D is still often an accomplice to Eddy's scams, causing him to remain an outcast among the other kids of the Cul-De-Sac.
Due in part to Ed, Edd n Eddy's popularity on /co/, Double D has made an appearance in every Mr. /co/lympus tournament thus far, though the other Eds have had more impressive tournament results.
Tournament History
Double D debuted in Mr. /co/lympus 2018, where he was seeded 74th and placed against The Question of DC Comics in Round 1, who he defeated. He moved onto Round 2 to face Shaggy, who would defeat him and go on to make 5th place. 2019 had Double D land a more impressive 19 seed and a first round victory against Coop, but again lost Round 2 to Popeye by a mere 19 vote difference. In 2020, he kept the same seed and easily defeated Chowder in Round 1, but yet again lost Round 2, this time to the eventual winner of the tournament, Tom.
Edd then secured a career-high 5th seed in Mr. /co/lympus 2021, and proceeded to dispatch Dib Membrane and newcomer Nigel Thornberry to finally reach Round 3 for the first time in Mr. /co/ history. However, his success did not last for long as he was decisively eliminated by Marvin the Martian, who would go on to defeat several other prominent competitors en route to a 4th place finish.
Although he has yet to make it deep in a Mr. /co/ tournament, his consistently high seeds, close matches, and the fact that he came the closest of any character to defeating Tom in 2020 (with just a 16 vote difference) hints that Double D may have a higher power level than his tournament results give him credit for.
Double D will try his luck again in Mr. /co/lympus 2022.
