Professor Utonium
Professor Utonium is character from Cartoon Network's animated series The Powerpuff Girls, created by Craig McCracken. He is depicted in the show's intro combining "sugar, spice, and everything nice" to create "the perfect little girl", but he accidentally breaks a container of Chemical X into the concoction, resulting in the birth of the three superpowered girls instead. Utonium is a squarely handsome scientist who serves as a kind yet overprotective father figure to the girls.
Tournament History edit
Professor Utonium was one of the few characters to have participated in every Mr. /co/lympus tournament up until Mr. /co/lympus 2022, when he surprisingly miss the cut during qualifiers. He is most notable for his Sweet-16 finish in Mr. /co/lympus 2019 which he actually almost missed out, as near the end of the nomination day he was one of the last few extra nominees entered shortly before the qualifying round. Utonium ended up being seeded highly at #10, which contributed to his best result.
The Professor's seeding dropped in 2020 (#68), and he fell short of upsetting Mr. Incredible in the second round by 17 votes. Utonium would make another appearance the following year with a similar seed (#73), this time losing in the first round to the higher-seeded Garfield.
Despite 4 years of straight qualification that posed him to be competitive in further tournaments, Utonium has not qualified since. Utonium missed the 2022 tournament with 106/114 required qualifiers votes to enter the top 128 (162nd place), missed 2023 by two votes with 34/36 of the required votes (143rd place), and missed 2024 by his largest margin to date with only 63/79 of required votes (243rd place). It remains to be seen if he will qualify again, with his next chance being in 2025.
