Spy
The Spy is one of nine playable characters from Valve's first person shooter Team Fortress 2. The Spy specializes in sneaking up on his enemies with his invisibility watch or deceiving them by taking on disguises, where he can then perform instakills by backstabbing enemies with his knife or disposing of them with his revolver. He is also typically seen as the rival of the Engineer, as his sappers can disable and eventually destroy all of his buildings.
The Spy is the most sly and sarcastic of the main cast, often taking a haughty and belittling tone towards his opponents. Being a model Frenchman, he is also a master of seduction, as shown when the Scout discovers pornography of the Spy making love to his mother.
Tournament History[edit]
The Spy first appeared in King of /v/ 2020, where he was involved in a recurring trend where OC would be created of the Spy disguised as a character related to his opponent, or an image of the Spy would be posted with his opponent's face on his trademark disguise mask alongside a "falseflag" acting as that opponent and instructing voters to instead vote for the Spy. This assisted the backstabbing Frenchman in a series of victories against Tom Nook, Cave Johnson, and Chris Redfield, until he was cut down by Vergil before he could sneak his way into the Elite Eight.
In King of /v/ 2021 the Spy was able to deceive his way into a backstab against Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd, however was outmatched by fellow seducer Rance in the second round and was defeated.
Curiously, the Spy wasn't nominated at all in 2022, perhaps due to confusion thinking he was already nominated due to a nomination being placed for the Spy from Team Fortress Classic. Whatever the reason he would have to sit that year out, instead making his return in 2023, where he would defeat Mega Man and G-Man before facing Kirby in round 3 where the two utilized their imitation abilities against each other, with Spy emerging as the victor. However in the round 4 match against Grimm the Spy made the mistake of disguising himself as Alice, causing him to be raped in an Alice cosplay by the undead knight and defeated.
