JC Denton is the protagonist of Deus Ex.

JC begins as a newly graduated nano-augmented agent of UNATCO (United Nations Anti-Terrorist Coalition), fighting the secessionist NSF in New York. However, he learns that he is a pawn of a global conspiracy led by the organisation Majestic-12, and so defects with his older brother Paul.

Tournament History

JC Denton first appeared in 2019, where he won his first three matches against Albert Wesker from Resident Evil, Captain Falcon from F-Zero and Richter Belmont from Castlevania before losing to Solid Snake in Round 4.

Denton returned in 2020, where he had a relatively easy bracket against M Bison from Street Fighter, Zero from Mega Man, Master Chief from Halo and Gordon Freeman from Half-Life. It wouldn't be until Quarterfinals where he had a tough match against Travis Touchdown from No More Heroes, losing by a close margin. In the 5th-8th place consolation match, he would end up in 5th place of the Elite Eight of that year.

After skipping 2021 due to Elite Eight rules, Denton made his return in 2022, having a similar campaign to winner Garland where he would gain the equipment of many of his defeated opponents, including the Hunter's Saw Cleaver, Frog's cape and sword and Tony Hawk's skateboard. This year would also make the appearance of two rematches against characters who had beaten him before, first against Solid Snake in Round 4 who had beaten him in 2019's Round 4 and Travis Touchdown in Quarterfinals who had beaten him in 2020's Quarterfinals. JC would surprisingly manage to beat both of these and advance to Semi-finals, his match being Jack Frost from Shin Megami Tensei, during this round talks of a "Jack-Off" finale between Jack Frost and Jack Garland had surfaced which may have influenced Denton's loss against Frost. Although he could not get the crown he managed to get the 3rd place against AM.

Being 3rd place of 2022, JC Denton will not be eligible to run again until the 2024 tournament.
