Wario is the rival to Mario and the protagonist of the Wario series.
Starting out as the villain of Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, Wario has since become a treasure hunter and game developer in his own games, and is still Mario's biggest rival in various spinoffs like Mario Kart and Mario Golf. You may think that he is greedy with no heart, but he is more than just a side character who likes to fart!
Tournament History[edit]
Wario has been one of the most successful King of /v/ contestants so far, making Elite Eight both times he's been in. He debuted in 2019 where he made his way to Elite Eight after narrow victories against the King Of All Cosmos and Funky Kong, before being eliminated by Phoenix Wright in the quarterfinals. In the 5th-8th consolation match, he got the most amount of 8th place votes, putting him at the bottom of the original Elite Eight.
This didn't get Wario's spirits down, as in 2021 he came back and proceeded to win his matches by pretty good margins again, thanks in part to his alignment with Team Merchant. However he was once again eliminated in quarter-finals, this time by fellow fat bastard Dr. Eggman. In the 5th-8th consolation match, he got the most amount of 5th place votes this time around.
After sitting out 2022, Wario returned in 2023, stomping Anon, Kefka and Alex, until he once again squared off against Dr. Eggman in Round 4, who knocked him out to Loser's Bracket. Wario would end up as the Runner Up of the Loser's Bracket.
Due to him losing in Round 4, Wario is eligible to return for King of /v/ 2024.
