Mario
Mario is the protagonist of the Super Mario series and all of its spinoffs.
A plumber living in the Mushroom Kingdom, he usually has to save Princess Peach from the koopa king Bowser with the help of his brother Luigi.
Tournament History
Despite being the biggest and most famous video game character, Mario has initially never done well in King of /v/. In both 2019 and 2021, he was excluded due to the series limit, and when he qualified in 2020, he was a low seed and lost immediately to Leon Kennedy. Due to this, it led to a campaign starting in 2021 and going all the way until round 1 of 2022 involving a demonic Mario who wanted to kill The Batter. Along the way, it made him many enemies, who called him "Jobrio" and would make fun of him at every opportunity.
In 2022, Mario managed to secure a high seed and do well in his matches, making it to round 4 before losing to eventual finalist Jack Frost, perhaps due to being cursed by a Frostfag's shit tribute.[1] Funnily enough, almost all of Mario's enemies lost before him.

Mario returned in 2023 with several anons rallying behind him to try and breathe new life into his image among /v/irgins who have traditionally seen him as a boring normalfag pick due to his mass popularity. Though Mario was the recipient of much hype and OC from his supporters, such as several Machinima-style videos of Mario battling his opponents in a mix of Super Mario 64 and Garry's Mod, he would fall to the equally strongly backed Jacket in Round 2.
