Princess Peach
Princess Peach, known originally as Princess Toadstool, is a character from Nintendo's Mario franchise. In many Mario games, Peach is typically kidnapped by Bowser in his plan to take over the Mushroom Kingdom, so it's up to the Mario brothers to defeat him and rescue the princess.
While Peach is best known as a damsel-in-distress, the princess has seen development as a playable character in some Mario installments, with the earliest known example being the NES game Super Mario Bros. 2 where she uses her skirt to float over long distances.
