Morshu is a character from the infamous Zelda CD-i game, Link: The Faces of Evil. He appears as a shopkeeper who informs Link that he is selling lamp oil, ropes, and bombs, and that Link may have them but only if he has enough rupees. If Link does not, Morshu sends him away for being a lowly poorfag.
Morshu is most known for his appearances in the many Zelda CD-i Youtube Poops, with said YTPs involving Morshu having received a resurgence in popularity in recent years, thus bringing the shopkeeper back into relevancy.
Tournament History
Morshu's first appearance was in King of /v/ 2020, where he largely went under the radar with a rather low seed and a Round 1 loss to Sundowner.
Things fared much better for Morshu in King of /v/ 2021, around the time the popularity of his YTPs saw a sharp increase. He quickly rose to prominence as part of Team Merchant, becoming one of the main figures who the merchants would rally around. These two factors allowed him to rise his way to the Elite Eight after defeating Phoenix Wright in Round 4. Afterwards he would send fellow fatman Heavy away with a $400,000 fine in the Quarterfinals, before facing off against The Batter in a Merchants vs Schizos grudge match. However he was unable to avenge fellow merchant Spamton and fell to the future 2021 champion in the Semi-finals, where he then went on to lose 3rd place to Kazuma Kiryu.
Morshu's return would be in King of /v/ 2023, where some speculated how he might fare given his YTPs had fallen out of the spotlight since 2021. Whether or not this made a difference ultimately did not matter as he was immediately matched up against the powerhouse and twice-runner-up Dr. Eggman in Round 1 and defeated despite the efforts of merchant guild members to campaign for him.
