In Death's case, she acts both as its personification, and as a psychopomp, orsomeoneor someone who guides recently deceased souls into the afterlife. Unlike typical depictions in variousfictional media, DC's Death is portrayed more sympathetically, with her "perky goth" appearance and friendly personality giving off the impression that the end of life is not to be feared.
