The /an/lympics 2025 was the third edition of 4chan's inter-species tournament, held on a yearly basis(so far) on its /an/imals & Nature board. Taking place between May 9th and 19th, 2025, this edition was (like all /an/lympics tournaments) contested by all organisms in the universe — not limited to just the animal kingdom. As with last year's tournament, the /an/lympics 2025 was hosted by Mr. Sir The Guymanbro !xNDnmYN2QQ, at least initially. However, after he took a leave in the middle of the tournament, the 2023 host, BallsAnon !!TSeJH+Shkly, came out of retirement and took over tourney operations.
As one may infer, this year was a tad bit chaotic. As fur and feathers flew, and every creature in the arena fought, two animals made steady progress up the brackets: a famous Minuet cat named Uni, and a little-known budgerigar simply known as Anon's Budgerigar Birb. Each contestant trounced their respective opponents with strong fan support and memorable OC, until they finally met each other's match in the final round. In what might be the closest final round in 4chan tournament history, the ̶u̶n̶d̶e̶r̶d̶o̶g̶ underbird snatched victory from Uni's paws by a mere point. Demonstrating The Kronk Effect, Anon's Budgerigar Birb was thus crowned the Top B/an/ana for 2025.
Rules
How to Nominate
- Simply post the name and picture of the animal you're nominating. Both regularly or through Catbox are welcome.
- No replies from other Anons required.
- One nominee per post only.
- Check the nomination list (Ctrl+F, click the "three vertical dots" icon, and enter character name) to see if your organism is already nominated.
Eligibility Guidelines
- Submission must be /an/-related or or have appeared in a /an/ tournament prior to this rule. (Grandfather Clause)
- Organism of choice must at least be a living thing (including extinct ones).
- All organisms must be known to exist for at least one month. (FOTM rule)
- Organisms cannot be Board-Tans, OC Donut Steels or anything fictional. (Sorry, ALF!)
- Elite 8 Rule: All /an/ organisms from the previous year's Elite Eight are NOT allowed.
- Crow Rule: Previous Champions (i.e. crows and bumblebees) are barred from reentry into the tournament.

137 successful nominees were consolidated into a single massive group, where voters select the characters that they want to advance. There was no restriction on how many nominees voters could select. This format is called Approval voting. After the round ended, the 128 nominees with the most votes advanced into the bracket. Although no ties occurred, the procedure for breaking any ties during Qualifiers is to determine who got properly nominated earlier.
The following did NOT qualify: Appl Hrs, Hyena, Duck, Kangaroo, Dolphin, Paubrasilia, Albatross, Christmas Beetle, and Click Beetle (Alaus Oculatus)
