The Tag-Team Tournament 2024 (in 2025) is the sixth edition of the all-genders /co/ duos competition. Like with previous tag-team tournaments starting in 2021, this tournament was held on /tnt/ on the plus4chan imageboard. The tournament was once again hosted solo by Coayynon !hJA5r5.WJw.
The event generally continued the smooth and fairly slow paced return to form Tag-Team saw the prior year. Despite rather low hype and discussion surrounding the event in its lead up, it still saw a hefty amount of nominations - nearing 300 - and went down with a fair amount of activity and OC. The event had little in the way of expected powerhouses, and the long popular and hyped "Plunderers" team, consisting of John Silver and Ruber, contrary to expectations ran with different, canonically accurate teams, though both losing before quarterfinals.
The Elite Eight would consist of campaign heavy teams, including (to some critique) two Transformers teams. But the finale would come down to the long-time tag-team notables "Assholish Adult Swim Duo," consisting of Master Shake and The Monarch, and the classic Hanna-Barbera duo "Mystery Inc." consisting of Shaggy and Scooby-Doo. Despite predictions for the Assholish duo's victory, and their years-long campaign effort (including reaching E8 for the first time since 2020), ultimately they would be bested by the classic canonical duo Mystery Inc. who would win over them by a decisive amount.
The finale, E8 placements, and winners would receive markedly positive reactions. Mystery Inc. would be widely considered one of the best tag-team champions yet, some even ranking them alongside the inaugural winners the Freelance Police (Sam and Max).
