Starscream

Starscream is a recurring antagonist of the Transformers franchise. While his character and origins will vary between continuities, he is commonly depicted as the Air Commander (reflected by his jet transformation) and second-in-command of the Decepticons behind Megatron. Despite this, he is also commonly depicted as scheming, treacherous, and always plotting to take control over the Decepticon leader.
Tournament History
Following the dark horse run of Optimus Prime in 2023, hype for the Transformers series would be reignited in the tournament, with anons already anticipating nominations for Megatron and Starscream in the following year.
This would come to fruition as Mr. /co/lympus 2024 came around, with Megatron, Starscream, and surprisingly Soundwave all qualifying for the tournament and hitting the series limit. Ironically, Starscream's deceitful nature was reflected in him seeding much higher at 53rd compared to Megatron's 89th. Despite a relatively easy round against fellow newcomer Tai Lung, Starscream would humorously fall alongside the Decepticon leader in Round 2 against Dr. Robotnik. With Optimus' unnatural streak of GETs in the prior tournament, the Decepticons spent the tournament attempting to secure digits of their own. True to his nature, Starscream would even try for GETs that would benefit him alone and allow him to rise above Megatron. These would usually end in failures or Megatron and Optimus responding with GETs of their own, to his displeasure.
The following year, Starscream would qualify again alongside Megatron and the returning Optimus Prime, continuing to place above his superior at the 79th seed to his 94th. In humorous fashion yet again, Starscream would fall alongside Megatron in Round 1 to newcomer The Hulk while the Autobot leader continued his bracket run past the two Decepticons.
It remains to be seen if Starscream's plots will fare any better when he is eligible to return during Mr. /co/lympus 2026.
