Emperor of /his/ 2026 is the fourth installment of the titular "tourney autism" event held on 4chan's /his/tory and Humanities board. It was hosted once again by ANEgroid !!t6VCbprTeBK[a 1], and ran from September 18, 2026 to September 28, 2026. Like the previous year's installment, the bracket consisted of 128 entrants, and allowed all genders/sexes to compete.
Jesus Christ, Christianity's central figure, returned from the tournament's 2023 and 2025 editions to arise as its fourth champion. Described by Biblical Scripture as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Jesus beat the 26th president of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, by a score of 18-13. God Himself won the Bronze Medal over prominent Hebrew prophet Moses, by a score of 22-9. The remaining Elite Eight members consisted of an industrious firearm designer from the United States, a military leader and medicine man from the Bedonkohe band of the Apache people, a long-time Communist leader and revolutionary from Cuba, and finally, the first Premier of the Soviet Union.
Following the results of the final poll, ANEgroid decided to continue allowing quarterfinalists to participate in the following year's tournament. Notably, the option to bar deities from future participation got a plurality, leading to the decision to prohibit at least omnipotent deities from future /his/ tournaments.
Rules
As in previous editions, ANEgroid intended for this event to have a more relaxed set of rules than other tournaments.
From the OP post of the Nominations thread:
>How do I enter a historical character?
Provide the name of the individual accompanied with an image. A country they hail from or are beholden to may also be provided.
>Who are eligible?
Any historical, religious or mythological individual. People who are still alive or died in the past 25 years should not be eclipsed in notoriety by more recent events.
>Nominations & Qualifiers
This year we're introducing qualifiers, given that the number of nominations exceeds 128 on the first or second day of nominations. If not, we're skipping to Round 1 once the required number of contestants has been achieved.
>Seeding
The seed order is given by the last two digits of the post. Further sorting is given by nomination order. Seeding also applies to the qualifiers in case of ties.
>Voting
Simply pick the contestant you prefer in the form.
>Current voting form and voting times
The current voting form can be found either in the OP post or in the replies of the anchor post below. Each round lasts 24 hours starting 21 CEST.
>Thread conduct
I will create a new thread once nominations have concluded. Beyond that I will create a thread once one reaches bump limit.
Excluded Characters
Jenny Rule: previous Emperors of /his/ are permanently retired, and will be barred from participating in future tournaments.

Main Bracket
Since more than 128 participants were nominated during the first two days of Nominations, a Qualifiers round has been added for the first time. Here, 135 historical figures all compete in the same poll, with the 128 that receive the most votes moving on to the main bracket. Ties between contestants are broken based on the last two digits of their nomination posts; a lower set of digits takes priority over a higher one.
As in previous years, all rounds last one day each. Each round begins and ends at approximately 20:00 UTC. (You) must vote for all matches. If a match ends in a tie, both entrants advance to the next round.
