/v/ Co-op Tournament 2025, or just Co-op 2025, was the third edition of the /v/ Co-op Tournament, held on the anonymous imageboard plus4chan. It featured a whopping 316 team nominees and a 128-player randomized single elimination bracket.

Similar to the previous year, this year's Elite Eight was fairly Nintendo-centric, although there was a greater amount of variety compared to the past Elite Eight. The Elite Eight generally received positive opinions in the threads following its reveal, with some anons questioning if there was even a clear winner this time.

In the final round, a face-off emerged between two of the most beloved teams: Bear & Bird and Build Kings. Ultimately, Bear & Bird reigned victorious over the Build Kings, achieving a majority vote of 56.7%. Reception to the tournament's victors was somewhat mixed, yet ultimately positive. Proponents cited Banjo-Kazooie's position as a beloved classic video game series, along with a definitive end to Banjo's infamous Jobber status. Meanwhile, a handful of Build Kings advocates felt gypped at the final results, believing their team had deserved victory more. In the end, most, if not every, anon had come around to Banjo and Kazooie's success, viewing it as a fitting conclusion to a positively received tournament.

How to Nominate

• FOTM Clause: Characters who first appeared at the month before the start of this contest (January 9th and later) are banned.
• Character must appear in a video game (vidya)
• You must post the image, team name, characters AND the correct series name (e.g. [I nominate] Link from Legend of Zelda and Gordon Freeman from Half-Life as team "Example")
• 8 replies / (You)s are needed in a single thread to qualify as a nominee.
• One nominee per post only
• Check the nomination list (Ctrl+F, click the "three vertical dots" icon, and enter character name) to see if your team is already nominated

Character / Series Eligibility

• Characters must be of /v/ media origin.
• Characters cannot be Board-Tans, OC Donut Steels, or originate from a meme.
• Characters who previously won main tournaments are allowed, but past co-op winners are retired.
• Teams who reached Elite 8 last year are not eligible, yet the characters themselves can still be included in another team.

316 successful nominees will be consolidated into a single massive group where voters select the guys that they want to advance. There is no restriction on how many guys they can select. This format is called Approval voting. After the round ends, 128 guys with the most votes will advance into the bracket. Ties are broken by whoever gets properly nominated earlier.

A maximum of 3 guys per series can enter the bracket.
